Many prepaid markets are cash-rich economies, where card penetration is low. These markets need a low cost prepaid top-up solution that avoids the high cost of vouchers, but continues to support cash funded top-ups.
Mi-Pay's Solution
Mi-Pay’s Street Vendor solution does just that. It distributes electronic value for prepay recharges across a chain of merchants. Merchants can then resell that value to the mobile subscriber anywhere, even in the street. Merchants can manage the sales process entirely from a mobile handset, and take cash for doing so; without the need for expensive new terminals. Mi-Pay’s solution offers:

- Transfer of value into the merchant accounts directly from operator, using Merchant-to-Merchant transfer, or using credit cards
- Subscribers can pay cash for top-ups, or use a credit or debit card if accepted by Merchant
- SMS, IVR, USSD and particular Java supported for account transfers and prepay topup transactions
- Full settlement reporting capabilities
